BISHOP Brian Finnigan welcomed two children into the Church at Everton Park parish on November 3.
Naomi McClarty and Carl Martin were received into the Church before loved ones at Immaculate Conception Church, Everton Park.
Newly retired priest Fr Joe Flannery assisted Bishop Finnigan during the Confirmation Mass on Sunday.
Fr Flannery retired as parish priest in mid-October.
Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Oudeman visited the parish to thank Fr Flannery on behalf of Brisbane Archbishop Mark Coleridge, who could not attend.
It was Bishop Oudeman’s first visit to Everton Park parish.
Fr Flannery said he would still remain at the presbytery in Everton Park.
Archbishop Coleridge is yet to decide who will take over from Fr Flannery as parish priest.
