QUEENSLAND’S Presentation Sisters elected a new leadership team and set their focus for mission for the next five years at their recent chapter meeting.

“During the next five years, we will focus especially on how each of us can be the ‘Presentation face of God’s Mission’, whatever our ministry, in our world,” leadership team member Sr Mary Franzmann said.

Also in the leadership team are designated leader Sr Marlette Black, and Sisters Rita Cusack and Patsy Grundy.

The mission focus, decided at the chapter held in early July, also states that:

“Impelled by the Gospel of Jesus and the spirit of Nano Nagle and in union with Presentation people around the world, we consciously choose to be drawn more deeply into the mystery of God and the reality of people and Earth made poor.

“Like Mary, we continue to develop a contemplative awareness as we participate through prayer, action and intention in the evolution of the universe.

“Being conscious of our integral relationship with the entire Earth community energises us to discern new ways to be the Presentation face of God’s Mission.”

The new leadership team will be commissioned during a Mass on August 30.
