GOD has been looking after Sana Mammo.
Mrs Mammo is the co-ordinator of a project called Kidz2Kidz, which involves producing a CD of peace songs, voiced by Brisbane school children, as a gift to some of the 13 million under 14 year-olds in Iraq.
Mrs Mammo said the project was such a success it had now been embraced internationally by countries such as Canada, the United States and Britain.
She said it was while on a promotional visit in early July that it became apparent God was looking after her.
‘I was supposed to give a presentation of the project (in England) on July 7 but it was brought forward a day.
‘The next morning I was trying to get back to my sister’s place at Sheffield and was trying to catch one of the London trains that was bombed that day.
‘But I fell and hurt my knee just before it left and so I missed it.
‘Then the Pope gave his blessing to the project, and when I got back home last week, the Papal Blessing was already here.’
Mrs Mammo said anyone wishing to help Kidz2Kidz could contact her at PO Box 801, Sumner Park, Qld 4074.
The CDs sell for $23 with postage and can also be bought at Dymocks Bookshops. Donations to the Kidz2Kidz Trust are tax deductible.
