KIRI Groeneveld revels in the idea of putting her faith in God in print.
That’s exactly what she will be doing in upcoming editions of The Catholic Leader as part of a new column on this page (Y-Plus) from next Sunday (March 4).
Kiri hopes to “give an insight as to how some young people in Brisbane” live the faith.
“It’s a great opportunity (and) I feel really grateful for it,” she said, beaming.
The QUT student was educated at St Rita’s, Victoria Point and then Carmel College, Thornlands.
She has enjoyed participating in faith initiatives like her local Antioch group and the Toowoomba Movers and Shakers conference for 16-25 year olds.
The 21 year-old studies creative industries has a special interest in film.
“Film has always been a huge passion of mine and I feel there’s real potential for it within youth ministry,” Kiri said.
She also was given the important role of “MC” at the Australian gathering of World Youth Day pilgrims in Madrid last year.
In between study and ministry with the outreach “Project Hatch”, Kiri will be presenting a youthful view of life and faith for Leader readers.
