THEY may have looked like knights and maidens of old, but the motley bunch at Australian Catholic University on May 17 were 21st century students.
Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Nursing students at the Brisbane campus dressed the part for the annual Medieval Fayre, organised as an interactive and entertaining assessment part of the Bachelor of Arts unit, Arts and Culture.
It was the first time the nursing students, who were there to promote knowledge of medieval health, had joined the arts students.
Bachelor of Arts unit co-ordinator and ‘Queen of the Fayre’, Dr Tracey Sanders, said the day had been part of the department’s assessment for over a decade.
Dr Sanders said students performed research into the era and their efforts were rewarded through the end performance.
