PEOPLE had a God-given right to a job, with work being essential for a person’s development and well-being, Brisbane Auxiliary Bishop John Gerry said.
He was officially opening Brisbane’s first Centacare Employment office at Browns Plains on March 29.
Bishop Gerry said the Centacare Employment office was the first Job Network employment office to be operated in Brisbane by the Catholic Church.
The office has been providing employment services to the public since the end of February and has already established a large client and employer base which has exceeded projected targets.
Employers and job seekers interested in knowing more about Centacare Employment services can phone (07) 3809 0880 or call into the office at 5/109 Browns Plains Rd, next to the Centrelink office.
