A SWAG of Italians gathered in northside Brisbane on Easter Monday (April 9) for their annual “Pasquetta” picnic.
The day began with a car trek organised by the Italian youth group “Giovani Insieme” (“young people together”).
A number of cars and two scooters set off from Holy Cross Church, Wooloowin, for the game of “clue-finding through Brisbane streets”.
Their trek ended at a nearby park where many families of various generations enjoyed a barbecue and time together.
Scalabrinian Fathers Giovanni Pagnin and Angelo Cagna also were present.
One of the organisers Michael Guida said he was happy to see such a large crowd gathered on the Easter Monday holiday to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the GI car trek.
