A TRULY “divine” advertising campaign has begun in Adelaide.
The campaign was launched by Adelaide archdiocese’s strategic planning co-ordinator, Missionaries of the Sacred Heart Father Paul Cashen; Uniting Church Rev Stuart Cameron and Salvation Army Major Iain Trainor on August 8 and will include billboards, publicity events and prime time TV and radio advertising.
The Adelaide campaign is the start of an innovative Christian campaign which is expected to spread Australia-wide later this year.
Titled “Jesus All About Life”, the campaign is modelled on successful Christian media campaigns run in recent years in Ireland and Canada.
It is based on John 10:10: “I have come that you might have life – life to the full”.
Fr Cashen said the campaign had the support of about 300 South Australian congregations representing major Christian denominations including Catholics, Anglican, Assemblies of God, Baptist, Churches of Christ, CRC Churches International, Lutheran, Salvation Army and Uniting Churches.
Fr Cashen said the ads invited people to visit the campaign Web site at www.allaboutlife.com.au or to phone 1300 512 312 or SMS 0411 512 312 to receive a 120-page book that explores Christianity and contains the Gospel of Luke.
