QUEENSLAND Catholic Education schools and organisations will feature in this year’s annual Your Choice magazine released this week with every issue of The Catholic Leader.

The magazine features 52 Catholic schools and organisations throughout Queensland, highlighting the value of Catholic education in the community.

Your Choice magazine is a joint effort between the Queensland Catholic Education Commission and The Catholic Leader.

This year around 143,000 or 18 per cent of all Queensland students attend one of the state’s 296 Catholic schools.

Queensland Catholic Education Commission executive director Mike Byrne said Catholic schools “strive to provide a learning experience through which every young person has the opportunity to reach their full human potential”.

Mr Byrne welcomed the magazine, and said it was a comprehensive guide showcasing “the distinctive mission” of Catholic schools and supporting organisations.

Mr Byrne hoped the release of this year’s Your Choice 2014 magazine would be a “useful reference to the opportunities offered by Catholic education throughout Queensland”.

A free copy of the magazine is available with each purchase of The Catholic Leader this week.
