ARCHBISHOP John Bathersby of Brisbane visited St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace, on February 20 to recognise the outstanding OP achievements of the senior class of 2006.
The Scholars’ Assembly awarded the prestigious Buchanan Medal to 22 students who gained an OP 1.
The medal is one of Gregory Terrace’s earliest historical symbols of academic excellence.
The college celebrated the efforts of the seniors of 2006, whose class median was an OP score of 6.
Special mention was made of senior student Jack Mullins who showed the most academic improvement in 2006.
Gregory Terrace congratulated Oliver Badenhorst, Timothy Beckman, Lachlan Cairns, Robert Calvisi, James Carroll, Richard Fernandes, Richard Fox, Jason Lancini, Christopher Maguire, Dominic Maher, Matthew Marsland, Sulan Mendis, Victor Neep, Daniel North, Thomas Pagliaro, Joseph Puglisi, Matthew Randell, Nicholas Tellam, Benjamin Treffene, Jordan Wan, David Wijeyakulasuriya and Alexander Wood on their results.
