STAFF and students of St Mary’s School, Beaudesert, which was devastated by a fire on August 19, have great hope for the future.
The school resumed classes on Friday, August 23.
Principal Tim Stinson said the school community was “working our way through it all”.
“There’s lots of hope that we’ll come out of this,” he said.
Mr Stinson said the staff and parents and wider community were “so supportive” after the blaze.
A fund has been set up by the school to collect donations to replace any materials that students lost in the fire.
Donations can be made to St Mary’s School, account number 00596 6003, BSB 064786.
Several demountable buildings will be brought in until the full extent of the damage can be assessed and repairs begin.
