PADUA College, Kedron, has topped its own record in fundraising for families living with disability.
Padua student leaders Stephen Chinnery and Nick Laube recently handed over a cheque for $12,000 to the Little King’s Movement, based at Buranda.
The money was raised by students doorknocking houses in their neighbourhood.
The amount is a new school record in fundraising for the charity’s annual appeal, beating the previous record also set by Padua College in 2011 of $10,800.
The college has had a long association with the Little King’s Movement which receives no government funding for the work it does with families living with disability.
A college spokesperson said the Paduan community had embraced the cause wholeheartedly.
