New principals announced

MANY Catholic Schools in the Brisbane archdiocese have welcomed new principals this year. They are:

Deidre Anderson is the new head of secondary at Unity College, Caloundra West. Miss Anderson was formerly deputy principal at Our Lady’s College, Annerley.

Denis Anthonisz is the new principal at St Eugene College, Burpengary. Mr Anthonisz was formerly Brisbane Catholic Education’s north region area supervisor.

Christopher Bathersby will be acting principal at Sacred Heart, Sandgate, for 2008. Mr Bathersby was formerly principal at St Finbarr’s School, Ashgrove.

Peter Blundell is the new principal at Guardian Angels’ School, Wynnum. Mr Blundell was formerly principal at St Matthew’s School, Cornubia.

Susan Branson is the new principal at St Ambrose’s School, Newmarket. Mrs Branson was formerly principal at Holy Spirit School, New Farm.

Christopher Brown is the new principal at St Columba’s School, Wilston. Mr Brown was formerly principal St Mary’s Primary School, Ipswich.

Gerard Campbell is the new principal at Our Lady of the Assumption, Enoggera. Mr Campbell was formerly principal at St Peter Chanel School.

Susan Carpenter will be acting principal at Our Lady of Good Counsel School, Gatton, for 2008. Mrs Carpenter was formerly assistant principal to the administration at Sts Peter and Paul’s School, Bulimba.

Gregory Casey is the new principal at Marymount Primary School, Burleigh Waters. Mr Casey was formerly principal at Jubilee Primary School, Gaven.

Mark Creevey is the new principal at St Benedict’s Primary School, Mango Hill. Mr Creevey was formerly

Patrick Davis is the new head of primary at Southern Cross Catholic College, Scarborough. Mr Davis was formerly head of primary at St Columba’s Primary, Dalby.

Carmel Flynn is the new principal at St Joseph’s School, Bardon. Mrs Flynn was formerly principal at Sacred Heart, Sandgate.

Nicholas Gallen is the new principal at Holy Spirit Primary School, New Farm. Mr Gallen was formerly assistant principal to the administration at St Martin’s School, Carina.

Nathan Haley is the new principal at St Mary’s Primary School, Laidley. Mr Haley was formerly health and physical education specialist at St Rita’s, Victoria Point.

Ann Hall will be acting principal at St Finbarr’s Primary School, Ashgrove, for 2008. Ms Hall was formerly acting principal at St Ambrose’s School, Newmarket.

Edward Leonard will be acting head of secondary at Emmaus College, Jimboomba, for 2008.

John Leyden is the new principal at St Andrew’s School, Ferny Grove. Mr Leyden was formerly principal at St Anthony’s School, Kedron.

Derek Maclean is the new principal at St Matthew’s School, Cornubia. Mr Maclean was formerly principal at St Joseph’s School, Bardon.

Joy Massingham is the new secondary school principal at St Mary’s College, Maryborough. Mrs Massingham was formerly deputy principal at St John Fisher College, Bracken Ridge.

Peter McKee is the new principal at St James School, Coorparoo. Mr McKee was formerly acting principal at St Pius’ School, Banyo.

Vyvyen Menegon is the new principal at St Anthony’s Primary School, Kedron. Mrs Menegon was formerly Brisbane Catholic Education Commission’s senior development officer for primary schools.

James Midgley is the new principal at St Peter’s Primary School, Caboolture. Mr Midgley was formerly assistant principal to the administration and acting principal at St Peter’s School, Caboolture.

Glenda Morgan is the new principal at Stella Maris School, Maroochydore. Ms Morgan was formerly principal at Guardian Angels, Wynnum.

Russell Mort is the new principal at St Peter Chanel, The Gap. Mr Mort was formerly principal at St Patrick’s School, Nanango.

Diarmuid O’Riordan is the new secondary school principal at St Peter Claver College, Riverview. Mr O’Riordan was formerly principal at Mt Carmel School, Yass.

Michael Quinn is the new principal at St Mary’s Primary School, Ipswich. Mr Quinn was formerly school development officer for Catholic Education Service Diocese of Cairns.

Martyn Savage is the new principal at Our Lady of Fatima Primary School, Acacia Ridge. Mr Savage was formerly assistant principal to religious education at St Joseph’s Tobruk Memorial School, Beenleigh.

David Sewell is the new principal at Jubilee Primary School, Gaven. Mr Sewell was formerly principal at Our Lady of Good Counsel School, Gatton.

Peter Shaw is the new principal at South Burnett Catholic College, Kingaroy. Mr Shaw was formerly assistant to the principal administration at Trinity College, Beenleigh.

Peter Surawski is the new principal at St Pius’ Primary School, Banyo. Mr Surawski was acting principal for 2007 at Our Lady of the Assumption, Enoggera.

Catherine Thompson is the new head of secondary at St Eugene College, Burpengary. Mrs Thompson was formerly deputy principal at Chisholm Catholic College, Cornubia.

Matthew Vine is the new principal at St Patrick’s Primary School, Nanango. Mr Vine was formerly a Year 4 teacher and ICTL coordinator at St Vincent’s, Clear Island Waters.

Trudy Walsh will be acting principal at Christ the King, Graceville, for 2008. Mrs Walsh was formerly assistant principal to the administration at Our Lady of the Rosary, Kenmore.
