ST Mary of the Cross School, Windsor is teaming with their local community to provide the second annual Market Day on Saturday, March 28.
The day will be held on the schools grounds and will feature more than 40 stalls including arts and crafts, animals, face painting, jumping castle and coffee for the parents.
School principal Matthew Beacroft said the wide array of activities available were to help maximise the something for everyone, family appeal of the event.
“The core concept of the day is to promote the school working with the local community,” he said.
The organising committee largely driven by passionate school employees and parents have focused on the sense of community by liaising with local organisations, such as the Windsor Rotary Club, who will run the barbecue and the Lutwyche Craft Group, who will provide arts and crafts items.
The event shapes as mutually beneficial for both St Mary of the Cross, Lutwyche parish and local business and community relations.
It is hoped the all-round success of the initiative can help raise awareness of the strong community commitment of St Mary of the Cross and dually raise much needed funds for local organisations and individuals.
“I hope by engaging the community on the day families can see that our school is a viable option for a quality Catholic education, a hidden gem,” Mr Beacroft said.
