STUARTHOLME School, Toowong, recently welcomed 18 students from Marmoutier, a sister Sacred Heart school in Tours, France.
The senior students leave to return home this weekend after a two and a half week stay with their host school and families.
Under the instruction of accompanying language teacher Christine Gallopin, Marmoutier students spent the first period of each day completing schoolwork from their own school, and catching up with emails from home.
The rest of the day was taken up with immersion in classes at Stuartholme.
Stuartholme development director Graham Thomson said the annual exchange program with Marmoutier was a valuable two-way street for the school and the reason so many students took French.
In the spirit of Sacred Heart education, Stuartholme shares each year with about 40 students from France, United States, England, Scotland, Taiwan, Japan and New Zealand.
