STUDENTS at Southern Cross Catholic College signed off on bullying during the National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence on March 21.
The school’s senior campus at Scarborough, on the Redcliffe Peninsula, pledged against bullying by placing their signatures on a 10m orange banner.
The banner will remain a constant reminder of the school’s zero tolerance towards bullying.
Middle and Senior Years acting assistant principal and head of student welfare Adam McPhee said the college’s anti-bullying policy fostered a pastoral approach to teaching justice, compassion and forgiveness.
“We have an excellent team of pastoral leaders who care for, support and provide personal development programs for each year level,” Mr McPhee said.
It is the third year the college has participated in the national bullying awareness day since becoming involved in 2012.
