DEACON Neville Yun’s 0rdination as a priest for the Brisbane archdiocese has been confirmed for 7pm on Friday, November 29 at St Stephen’s Cathedral.
Deacon Yun will be ordained along with a member of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of the Southern Cross.
He said it would be an exciting time for the Church in Brisbane.
“People realise that it’s a big commitment for one person to serve the Church for their entire life,” he said.
Deacon Yun said the Brisbane Catholic community had been a source of great encouragement in the lead up to his ordination.
“During formation in the latter years [in the seminary], there have been bits of encouragement that people have shared with me,” he said.
“It’s given me the confidence to know that I can carry out this vocation, that it is mine to follow.
“I’m excited about what I’ll be doing in my placement.”
