“WHEN I take the pulse of Brisbane archdiocese it’s not the pulse of someone who is dying … I’m not whistling in the dark when I say it’s a very powerful pulse.”
Archbishop Mark Coleridge of Brisbane with these words captured his key impression of the archdiocese, which he has led since May 2012.
The comments came during a talk as guest speaker at the Assembly of Catholic Professionals attended by about 200 people at the Stam-ford Plaza Hotel, Brisbane, on October 25.
Archbishop Coleridge also gave “thanks to God and to many of you for one of the most extraordinary years in my 65 years of life to ensure the pulse of the Church in this archdiocese is beating powerfully”.
