MORE than 2000 people attended Brisbane’s main Corpus Christi procession at Nudgee Junior College, Indooroopilly on June 17.
The annual procession, in its sixth year, celebrated the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ and was led by Archbishop John Bathersby.
Organised by the Apostles of Mary, it attracted people from throughout Brisbane and aimed to provide a procession for those parishes that do not have their own.
Chaplain to the Apostles of Mary, Jesuit Father Greg Jordan said the celebration began with adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Archbishop Bathersby told the people gathered to proclaim their belief in the Eucharistic body of Christ and in the light of that belief to proclaim their willingness to work totally to bring to perfection the Kingdom of God.
