THE Catholic Women’s League will celebrate their National Conference for the first time in north Queensland this September.
The 46th National Biennial Conference will be hosted at Jupiter’s Casino in Townsville from September 2-5.
The conference starts with an opening Mass at 7pm in the Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Catholic Religious Australia president Sr Annette Cunliffe will speak on the conference theme, Faithful to My Call.
Other speakers will include Bishop of Townsville Michael Putney, CWL national chaplain Fr Dave Lancini and John Paul II institute for Marriage and Family associate dean and head of Bioethics Nicholas Tonti-Filipini among others.
The Catholic Women’s League is the peak body for Catholic women in Australia, with more than 5000 members from both urban and regional areas.
