REAL Talk Australia says the Church’s teachings on sex and relationships are more relevant than ever.
Real Talk Australia share a message of life, love and successful relationships, all based on the teachings of the Catholic Church, especially Pope St John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.
After presenting with hundreds of schools and organisations, Real Talk Australia have said that most teenagers left high school thinking they would never have deep, lasting relationships.
Their presentations look to prevent the negative outcomes of having sexual intimacy too young, making Real Talk Australia among the most sought-after sexual and personal development groups in Australia.
To continue their work in helping change the lives of young people, Real Talk Australia will host its annual gala dinner at Victoria Park, Herston on May 23.
Australian Christian Lobby, chief executive officer Michelle Pearse will be the guest speaker at the dinner.
Real Talk co-founder and managing director Paul Ninnes said the dinner was always an enjoyable event.
“Most of all, the gala will be a really good night of celebration and insight,” he said.
“At Real Talk, we do relationship education, we look to restore sexual wholeness.
“So, expect a night of motivation, to want to be proactive, to go help and make a difference in the world.”
Mr Ninnes was also looking forward to the Australian Christian Lobby’s perspective and message.
“Michelle and the Australian Christian Lobby are at the coal face of so many challenges facing contemporary society, Christian churches and schools,” he said.
“I’d expect some good insight and first hand stories from around the nation.”
The night is a celebration and fundraiser for the work Real Talk do, and will feature a raffle and live entertainment.
The event opens at 6pm at the Victoria Park Ballroom and the dress code is semi-formal.
