Youth Feature: National conference to draw more young to Jesus

Ignite Conference

Changing lives: The Night Rally at last year’s Ignite Conference.

IGNITE Conference is a national Catholic youth conference held in Brisbane.

It’s about encountering Jesus Christ and the Church, experiencing dynamic faith, being equipped for living the Christian life, and being empowered to impact the Church and the world.

Every year Ignite Conference draws more than 1300 adults, students, kids, ministry leaders, teachers, priests and religious from all across Australia and overseas.

And now, in its 15th year Ignite organisers are expecting so much more.

With inspiring speakers, motivational keynotes, sacraments, practical workshops, outdoors festival and concert-style rallies with emmanuelworship, this year’s event is shaping to be the best one yet.

This year’s speakers include international musician Joe Zambon, Fr Rob Galea, Benedictine Sister Hilda Scott, Focus on the Family NZ’s Brendan Malone, SmartLoving’s Byron and Francine Pirola, Darwin Bishop Eugene Hurley and Brisbane Archbishop Mark Coleridge, as well as the Ignite Youth team.
