Youth offer inspiring service

VINNIES Youth is the name for the inspiring young people who volunteer for the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland.

There are thousands of young people who every day share their time, care for humanity and energy to make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged people around Queensland.

Vinnies Youth is a broad term to encompass all ages and groups of volunteers including Young Adults, Young Vinnies (high school and colleges) and Mini Vinnies (primary schools).

Vinnies Youth offers a range of events and programs to support disadvantaged and marginalised youth.

Volunteers plan, organise and run these programs at different times during the year.

The programs include Active Xpression (Rockhampton), Buddies Days, Kids Camps, The Embrace Project, Sense Youth Mentoring, Sense Mentoring Camp and an immersion trip to Palm Island.

To get involved with Vinnies Youth, email youth@svdpqld.org.au or visit the website www.vinnies.org.au.
