THE PERFECT SCORE

Starring: Ben Kingsley and Jennifer Connelly
Director: Brian Robbins
Rated: M15+

THE CAT exams in the US determine whether a student will go to college.

In The Perfect Score, a group of students, because of not studying or through personal problems, agrees to steal the questions from the computer and prepare the right answers.

One of them, played by Scarlett Johansson (Lost in Translation and The Girl with the Pearl Earring), is angry with her womanising, education executive father.

The group spends time bonding, then getting into the computer – which means that we are watching a not particularly interesting or sympathetic group doing something which is cavalierly immoral as if this was the normal thing to do.

Spoiling the ending of a film that most will not want to see, they each in their own way have a change of heart and do not cheat, so it all ends up morally every after.
