IRISH musical ensemble Celtic Woman has released a 4-CD set containing a definitive collection of songs recorded and performed during their 10-year career.
The set, aptly titled “Decade”, kicks off with Celtic Woman’s unique covers of popular songs, blending elements of Irish musical tradition with familiar contemporary tunes.
The collection continues with dramatic pieces performed during the group’s stage shows, followed by a selection of traditional Irish songs.
Celtic Woman also lend their distinctive sound to classic pieces like Vivaldi’s Rain and Handel’s Lasola Ch’io Pianga, and listeners will surely be moved by the stirring renditions of Ave Maria, The Prayer and Amazing Grace.
Celtic Woman will no doubt perform many of these fan favourites when they return to Australia in September for their 10th Anniversary World Tour.
