Centacare runners set cool record

Centacare Brisbane and archdiocesan staff all set for the Cool Night Classic run and walk.

Cool runners: Centacare Brisbane and archdiocesan staff all set for the Cool Night Classic run and walk.

CENTACARE Brisbane this year entered its largest team for the Cool Night Classic run and walk through Brisbane’s central business district on October 31.

The team was made up of Centacare and Brisbane archdiocesan staff, with entrants either running or walking the 3km or 5km course.

Race organisers awarded this year’s charity partners $100,000 raised from the event.

Centacare has been a beneficiary of the Cool Night Classic fundraiser.

The money they received went towards the Unfunded Programs.

Centacare employee Rosemary Poulgrain said the walk was a great way to support and promote the organisation and bring everyone together as a team.

Brisbane archdiocese human resources consultant James Condon did the walk last year and walked again to represent the archdiocese.

“It’s a great annual event that supports a lot of worthy causes each year,” Mr Condon said.
