New lifestyle: As part of a master-planned Catholic community, St Vincent’s Care Services Maroochydore will welcome residents in early 2017.

ONE of Australia’s largest and most trusted Catholic aged care and retirement living organisations is forging ahead on its mission to care for Australia’s ageing population.

St Vincent’s Care Services is answering the call for an increasing need for tailored care services and residential facilities for seniors, and has expanded its operations to care for an additional 250 residents in Queensland alone over the past 12 months.

In addition to acquiring two existing facilities in Toowoomba and Arundel, the organisation recently opened a 36-bed extension at its Southport home on the Gold Coast.

The new building at St Vincent’s Care Services Southport, Lenneberg House, provides residents with contemporary ensuite rooms, spacious communal areas, and includes safe and inviting accommodation for 14 residents living with dementia.

St Vincent’s Care Services chief executive officer John Leahy said the organisation recognised the wide range of needs and desires of seniors.

“We understand that retirement living and aged care is not ‘one-size fits all,’ so we need to be able to grow and adapt according to the needs of the community,” he said.

“We are proud to provide a wide range of services – from independent living units in welcoming retirement communities, support and care at private homes through our Community Living packages, right through to high level clinical care at our residential living facilities.

“While we always have to move and adapt to changing needs, what will always remain is our dedication to delivering exceptional care and support to those in need, inspired by the work of our founders, the Sisters of Charity.”

St Vincent’s Care Services will soon welcome an additional 44 residents to its Mitchelton aged care community with building extension works soon to be completed.

In early 2017, the organisation will open the doors to a brand new facility on the Sunshine Coast, with St Vincent’s Care Services Maroochydore offering 120 residents an outstanding coastal lifestyle within a master-planned Catholic community.
